Button test

Choose a controller to test its buttons.

Connect a controller and press a button.

Defaults: standard controller A = jump, B = sword, and Start. Button numbers begin at 1. Reconnect is checked during play. Switching away pauses the game and releases held inputs.

Save & restore a browser checkpoint

Save on this device or export a backup. Browser data can be removed by clearing site storage. Checkpoints belong to this Lanternbound browser runtime; native .x68 files use a different format. Start a fresh run to load the repaired scenery; older checkpoints can retain the previous artwork until the next stage.

10 MHz X68000 machine, 2 MB RAM. A separate save namespace keeps Lanternbound checkpoints apart from original Buster. Original code, maps and music are retained; artwork is new.
