New HD art over the original game’s foundation
The new Super Juno’s World browser preview replaces the first level’s visible artwork with a new astronaut, alien creatures, space-age props, crystal terrain and an orbital sky. Its internal canvas is 1920 × 1080, with a responsive widescreen view.
Partial first-level development preview. This update is not full-game, campaign, save/reload or complete animation acceptance. The assembled run animation remains under visual review.
What the reskin preserves
The supplied European v1.1 cartridge is the reference for the converted browser code and level data. The preview begins directly in the original Yoshi’s Island 1 sublevel, 105. Level layout, collision coordinates, slope profiles, player physics, camera behavior and actor activation remain tied to that source.
The new presentation maps the first level’s 72 distinct Map16 tile IDs from 92 original object records to new artwork. Seven slope tile IDs retain the original per-column height profiles. New images and their visual size do not change the source collision geometry or actor logic. The wider view can show terrain beyond the original actor-activation window.
The bounded browser check
A short local inspection exercised the original-code HD first-level preview. It recorded the following observations:
| Canvas | 1920 × 1080 |
|---|---|
| Native frames recorded | 61 |
| Source player coordinates | (16, 352) → (69, 288) |
| Pause | The native pause flag became true. |
| Console observations | No console errors were recorded during this short check. |
This confirms the observed movement and pause path in that window. It does not establish end-to-end playability, complete actor behavior, save persistence or run-animation quality.
What remains
The world map, title and entrance flow, full campaign, audio integration, remaining player forms and accessories, unconverted actor or block continuations, and a verified save/reload workflow remain outstanding. Unconverted gameplay paths can stop the development preview.
The new run artwork uses a raster-part rig driven by the source animation phase. Its contact, passing, arm and boot motion are still being refined and visually reviewed. A complete approved run cycle is not claimed.
Earlier editions remain available
The earlier Juno SNES reskin player, its patch and separate save namespace are retained. Its earlier October 30 release notes remain unchanged. The preserved original Super Mario World edition remains a separate project.
