A route that
follows your game.

· Automatic walkthrough and controller update

The original player now moves story milestones between Route and Completed as you play. Right trigger fast-forwards and left trigger rewinds, using your selected speeds.

Automatic story progress.

There are 44 main milestones across all 16 chapters, from receiving the inherited sword to the final bosses and credits. A separate optional Wong milestone is also automatic. Travel directions, puzzle instructions and optional advice remain in expandable guide sections. The primary progress count measures verified story results.

All 117 earlier checklist IDs remain compatible. Existing manual checks are kept, and an explicit manual true or false choice takes priority. Choose Follow game progress to remove an override. Automatic results follow the currently loaded game: an older save or rewind can return a milestone to Route. They are never stored as permanent browser history.

Triggers and time.

On Player 1’s standard controller, hold right trigger for fast-forward or left trigger for rewind. Keyboard and on-screen controls remain available. The selected targets remain 2×, 3× or 4× forward, and 1×, 2×, 4× or 8× backward. Actual speed depends on the device.

Pause, load, settings, loss of focus and controller disconnection release time controls. A held trigger must return to neutral before it can start time control again. Trigger input is reserved for these actions on the assigned standard controller.

Evidence and compatibility.

The opening sword gift was reached with normal original-game input in the browser. Its automatic completion rolled back after an earlier quick save and after actual rewind, while manual choices remained. Repeated paused progress reads preserved the exact native-state hash and frame number. A downloaded session reopened in a fresh page.

Later milestones were checked against original event, item and dialogue routines, with positive and missing-condition checks and controlled native fixtures. Original title and file-menu states are rejected. Ending and credits use their own verified phase rules because the game reuses part of its working memory for animation. Async checks from an older session or rewind branch are discarded.

Controlled controller tests exercise trigger filtering, selected speeds, release and rearming, and pauses during pending rewind restores. They do not establish physical controller hardware behavior. A full campaign playthrough remains untested.

The cartridge, retained core, media and save-file format are unchanged. Browser quick saves, original cartridge SRAM and portable sessions keep their existing identities and namespaces. After an original in-game Save, use Save session now to update your chosen file.
