COSOMGAME PRESERVATION

DEVELOPMENT / OCTOBER 30, 2026 / 0.1.0

The first
disc recovery.

An Alundra collection built from the supplied American PlayStation disc: an original browser player, a detailed manual route, recovered pictures, sequences, samples and movies.

The original is retained.

The supplied CloneCD IMG is 600,289,200 bytes, SHA-256 76400ef143bc3177d00a94893f0151727a7b6a8782b5856555b9019e4862203c. The CCD and SUB sidecars are also hashed and retained. No original BIN/CUE was supplied. The browser package contains byte-identical IMG data under a BIN filename and a generated loading CUE; the browser core does not consume the SUB sidecar.

A route through the difficult parts.

The guide has 830 ordered manual checkpoints across 52 chapters. It includes puzzles, dream sequences, village events, optional items and return visits, with chapter selection, search, saved check marks and Completed view. Source references are attached to the route. This has not been validated by a complete USA campaign playthrough.

Pictures with their context.

The artwork catalogue contains 13,032 entries, including assembled sprite frames, portraits, static map renders, ending illustration panels and retained sheets. Indexed palette variants remain identifiable. The map renderer does not reproduce gameplay actors, scrolling effects or every PS1 blend mode. Raw parts are labeled as parts.

Music, and the parts that make it.

Music is rendered from the disc’s original sequence and instrument data using an Alundra-specific software sound engine. Recovered loop control flow is checked against rendered cycles where possible. Streams, sound components and neutral-pitch bank samples have separate labels; these are not all finished sound effects or identified voices. Compression and a bounded output limiter support the player’s volume boost. Original SPU hardware equivalence is not claimed.

Four original movie files.

All four disc movie files have browser H.264/AAC derivatives at their original dimensions and decoded frame counts. Original raw sectors and source metadata are retained. Any known damaged audio sectors or unresolved decode limits are shown with the affected clip.

Player verification.

Original PlayStation memory cards, browser snapshots, route checklists and source-disc preservation are separate. Assistance has three independent controls: HP replenishment, actual magic replenishment, and the game’s hit-immunity timer. All begin off; each remains unavailable until exact-disc gameplay checks pass. There is no XP/level-gain option.

This initial release proceeds without further player checks. Local play reached Inoa and completed an original diary save. Card export and browser storage flush succeeded, and identical card bytes were retained after a browser reload. Loading that saved progress through the original Continue menu remains unverified.

An earlier controlled snapshot check restored two observed native markers. The revised public snapshot import flow, physical controller operation and all three assistance behaviors remain unverified. Assistance stays unavailable. These results do not establish a completed campaign or every hazard.

What remains.

Confirm every palette, animation assembly, special blend, environmental hazard and script interaction in the original game. Compare rendered music against original SPU playback, classify unidentified samples and review the full route during play. No regional artwork hybrid is supplied: this project currently has only the supplied USA disc.
