Sound effects.
All 53 original sound-driver slots, plus 12 explicit pitch variants and 16 PSG crowd-volume auditions.
Music and sound are credited to Rob Hubbard in the cartridge’s own credits. These recordings come from the supplied U.S. ROM, rendered through Genesis Plus GX at 44.1kHz stereo.
Recovery notes
Command numbers follow the original effect dispatch table. PCM speech, crowd and impact samples and FM effects remain separate entries. Slots 01 and 03 are terminator clicks; slots 28/31,29/32 and30/33 retain the original duplicate playback modes. The 12 pitch auditions include all 4 rate phases for each of commands 08–10. PSG 00 documents the mute transition; PSG 01–15 document each audible crowd-volume level. These are 81 catalog entries, not 81 distinct game sounds. Generic labels avoid inventing event names.
Source ROM bytes remain unchanged. The extraction harness freezes game logic in private diagnostic RAM, calls the cartridge’s own driver and lets the original interrupt-driven audio run. Recordings are new emulator renders, not recordings from physical Genesis hardware. Individual effect event labels and contextual pitch variations beyond the retained table calls remain under study.
