The warm night light follows Sonic’s center and keeps his whole face lit.

A centered light and a visible face.

The warm night light is centered on Sonic’s upper body. A soft local fill keeps his whole face lit while the surrounding light still fades with distance.

The existing controls and background behavior.

The existing automatic night fade, toggle, strength control and Night preview remain available. This is a light-position and face-illumination update; background-controlled dawn/dusk blending and foreground Sun/glow occlusion retain their previous behavior.

The same Java first act.

The compiled Java gameplay engine, original Java sources, original artwork and music remain unchanged.

The frozen visual checks passed: Centered upper-body source remains on Sonic when he turns or the camera moves; Eight native standing/running/jumping/rolling face cases receive light, with identical left/right lighting and unchanged alpha; Twelve background optics and twelve night-light unit tests pass; Real native foreground and Sonic receive local light without changing distant background or out-of-radius pixels; Actual page controls and 2960-update ordinary route still complete Act 1 with assists off; Seven Original-mode captures remain byte-identical to version 0.1.1; Java engine, original sprite files and original audio remain unchanged. The unchanged Java engine remains bound to its previously verified first-act route.

NativeCanvas and page-module checks are not an interactive browser playthrough. Browser and physical-controller checks remain unverified because Browser Use is disabled here.

Green Hill Zone Act 1 visual test. Later acts, playable Special Stages and original boot/loading behavior remain outside this build.
