About these preservation recordings
These are listening renders of the original USA cartridge’s SNES sound driver, sequences, and instrument samples. Music runs for up to two minutes with a listening fade; one-shot cues keep their natural ending when detected. Repeat restarts the listening render; it is not a reconstructed seamless game loop.
The source cartridge file remains unchanged. Offline sound-test copies redirected the title song table to each original song; no music-driver code, sequence, or sample was rewritten. Snes9x generated the stereo audio, encoded here as Ogg Opus. This player is separate from the unfinished native Java music engine.
The cartridge has 64 song entries sharing 59 unique sequences. The extra five entries alias sequence 38. Track names follow the documented original song index; names can vary between soundtrack releases. Track manifest · Render provenance
