Retrospective: the local Java reconstruction through 0.19
A later summary of local preservation work. These milestones were not previously published here as archived playable website releases.
This summary was written later. It is not evidence that this version was previously published as a playable website.
What changed
- The original BIN/CUE were preserved with identity hashes. New editable Java tools read disc structures and recover selected original artwork and stage data without executing the PlayStation program.
- The local Java-to-HTML5 rebuild grew to include recovered Castle Entrance rooms, selected bats and zombie behavior, candles and item pickup/exchange, and the nine normal Alucard subweapon attack cores within documented integration boundaries.
- Milestones 0.18 and 0.19 added Agunea's selected expanding player outlines and initial eight-triangle player flash, preserving recovered palettes, source timing, signed scalar behavior and sequential color phases. The corresponding local source, tests and verification evidence are retained in the preservation package.
Still unfinished
- The complete campaign, full player/status/inventory/battle pipeline, original global hardware timing, audio integration and original PS1 memory-card support remain unfinished.
- Source-backed behavior is distinguished from authored player, collision, battle, factory, resource and renderer bridges. The Bible orbit uses an explicitly authored fresh-zero stabilization for an uninitialized original register.
- This retrospective is not a collection of separate old website builds, and its writing date is not an earlier publication date.
