Two screens.
One browser home.

The original US Super Princess Peach cartridge comes to COSOM with its adventure on the left, its touch screen on the right, and the four emotions mapped to a flick of the right analog stick.

A larger DS, your way

Use Larger + and Smaller −, choose a 1×, 2×, 3× or 4× display, or return to Fit window. Fullscreen keeps the size and game controls available. Both screens remain beside each other at every size. Deliberately choosing a display wider than your window gives you a horizontal scrollbar.

One flick, one emotion tap

Right stick up selects Joy, right selects Rage, down selects Gloom, and left selects Calm. Return the stick to centre before another flick. Flick the same way again to tap that heart a second time and turn the emotion off. The original game manages the active emotion and Vibe Gauge. Keyboard I, L, K and J and the visible emotion buttons send the same taps. The normal stylus remains available for game menus and other touch interaction.

The source music and images

All 68 named songs and jingles here were freshly recorded from the supplied cartridge using its own sound driver. The music uses TOSE’s custom SDFDAT container, so this release also preserves that exact 6 MiB source and its bank resources. The optional driver explorer exposes 873 sound IDs, including effects, voices, variants and silence. Community metadata supplies song names, IDs and listening lengths; these are newly rendered listening files, with editorial fades and no physical DS comparison.

The graphics archive contains 2,516 original source files and 989 PNG previews, including 180 composed backgrounds. Every extracted source has a ROM offset and checksum. Palette inspection sheets and unassembled sprite data are labeled honestly. Some character frame assembly, dynamic palettes and runtime animation remain unresolved.

What was checked

The browser loaded the actual US title, file menu and Ladida Plains 1-1 with the screens side by side. All four emotion targets responded, and a second Joy input turned it off. Direct stylus input, a browser snapshot saved and restored after page reload, 4× enlargement, Fit window and fullscreen controls were checked. The browser test record distinguishes those observations from automated tests.

Automated checks cover right-stick neutral/hold behavior, stylus release and competing touches, ROM identity, original source extraction, all PNG previews, runtime hashes, links, and full decoding of all 68 MP3 files. Physical-controller flicks, a complete campaign playthrough and original-cartridge save persistence have not been verified. Browser snapshots are separate from native cartridge saves.

Preservation record

The original ZIP and game ROM remain unchanged. This is the original game through self-hosted DS emulation with new browser layout and controls; a newly rebuilt native game engine is not being claimed. Saves, credentials and local session data are excluded from publication. This journal was written on October 25, 2026 for the first website release.
