Seiken Densetsu 3 original audio recovery — November 2, 2026

The supplied English v1.01 ROM remains unchanged. Music and effects are rendered
by its own 65816/SPC700/DSP driver using the pinned Snes9x libretro core. No MIDI,
replacement instruments or downloaded soundtrack is substituted. Original game
music/art/data retain their respective owners' rights. Snes9x licensing is
included for reference; no emulator executable is distributed in this archive.

Coverage: all 76 original SPC resource extents and 43 nonzero BRR resources from
the 52-slot table preserved; 61 Music Test songs plus unlisted resource 62 rendered;
12 named Music Test effects; all 256 eight-bit effect commands auditioned. Silence
and source aliases are documented. Raw BRR waveforms are separate source samples.

Listening copies: music 120 seconds with final 5-second fade. Effect capture cap 15 seconds,
silence trimmed, sustained effects fade final 0.3 seconds. Exact musical loop boundaries
and complete dynamic game-event sound semantics are not measured. Repeating a
browser recording repeats the entire capture. No gameplay testing was performed.

Reproduction (Windows, Python3.12+, FFmpeg with libmp3lame):
Obtain the exact Snes9x source/build listed in audio-provenance.json and verify
the core DLL hash. Set SEIKEN_ROM and SEIKEN_CORE environment variables to your
ROM and DLL absolute paths; set SEIKEN_FFMPEG to FFmpeg's absolute executable.
From tools/, run prepare_soundtest.py, extract_resources.py, render_menu.py,
render_unlisted.py and render_effects.py. Private emulator states and lossless PCM masters
are generated locally and are deliberately excluded from this public archive.
The original ROM is required separately; it is not contained in this source ZIP.

See audio-provenance.json for offsets, core identity, methods, counts and limits.
