Choose your save
Start with this browser’s cartridge save, or open a GoldenEye save backup. Save-state backups are handled in the separate eight-slot panel.
Choose a save to start the original cartridge.
Cartridge saves
The game saves mission progress through its original cartridge storage. This player’s native .srm container is separate from save states and from PlayStation memory cards.
No chosen file. Download a backup before leaving.
Writes to a chosen file happen only when you select Save. Keep your backups; imported files are not silently overwritten.
Original controls
The modern dual-stick setup is above. For classic N64, keyboard or touch input, use Original N64 mapping and a matching 1.x control style in the watch. The player’s Controls menu can view or remap the N64 inputs. Connect a controller before starting, and use Recheck controllers after wireless sleep.
Normal trigger actions remain active while optional speed controls are off. Mission choices and difficulty in the notebook do not change the game.
Modern dual-stick option · October 31
One standard gamepad now supplies GoldenEye’s two native analog sticks in solo 2.2 Galore mode. Left moves and strafes, right looks, RT fires and LT aims. The setup panel includes sensitivity, deadzone and invert-look options.
Renderer update · October 31
A sequential local comparison reproduced missing menu backgrounds and difficulty labels with the original legacy core. The bundled standard WebGL2 core rendered the copyright screen, mission-selection menu and Dam difficulty labels legibly using the same unchanged USA cartridge.
This edition requires WebGL2. Existing cartridge-save names and browser storage stay the same. Legacy renderer snapshots remain in their slots and can be exported after checksum validation; they require their matching old runtime to load. Cartridge save/reload remains unverified.
