GoldenEye joins the archive.

The USA cartridge gets its own original-game player, mission notebook and portable save tools.

Preserve the original

The supplied image contains GoldenEye’s USA revision 0. Its original byte-swapped ordering and all 12,582,912 bytes are retained. The browser runtime uses the N64 core; no PlayStation runtime or save files are copied into this edition.

Bring the journey along

The Castlevania project supplied the interface reference: a route beside the game, a Completed tab, directions, an equipment checklist, cheats, controller recovery and optional speed controls. GoldenEye uses its own mission and difficulty data. Completion is manual; an automatic RAM observer has not been established.

Keep saves portable

Original cartridge saves can be opened and downloaded, with explicit writes to an optional chosen local file. Eight browser state slots have independent checksummed backups bound to this ROM and runtime. They are snapshots, separate from the cartridge’s normal game saves.

Publication scope

The owner explicitly requested upload without gameplay testing. This release therefore records gameplay and save/reload checks as skipped. Transfer checks do not demonstrate a finished campaign, original EEPROM durability, tested cheat behavior or tested browser performance. Media extraction status and provenance are provided with each catalog entry.

Recovered media in this edition

4,449 image entries, 351 browser audio previews and 63 source-sequence entries. Source textures and additional mip levels are identified separately. Offline music previews use recovered instruments and approximate the game’s sound; native runtime mixing and effects are not reproduced exactly.
