RUBICON — COSOM AMIGA PRESERVATION Prepared November 2, 2026 (America/New_York) EDITION AND ORIGINALS The user supplied four 901120-byte ADF files. SHA-256 proves these form two byte-identical pairs. All original filenames and bytes are retained in ../archive/; ../source-manifest.json records their identities. The supplied edition contains the NEMESIS/+19 trainer. It is identified as supplied media, not independently authenticated as a retail release. ORIGINAL PLAYER ../play/ runs the original disks in self-hosted vAmigaWeb, core 4.3.6, configured as an Amiga 500 PAL OCS with 512 KB chip and 512 KB slow RAM. Both disks are present; explicit DF0 swap controls are provided for a disk request. The runtime uses a 256 KB half of the supplied 512 KB Kick13.rom: its two halves were verified byte-identical. The complete supplied ROM is retained unchanged. This normalization, runtime revisions, wrapper changes, licenses and corresponding source are documented under runtime/. Original game/disks are not patched. The supplied crack intro uses a right mouse button; the trainer uses vertical mouse motion to select rows, left to choose NO and right to choose YEA. The row labelled START GAME launches the game. The wrapper offers native input helpers. Trainer settings affect gameplay. Arrow keys and Space use the game joystick after the trainer. State backups are native emulator states inside a JSON envelope, bound to exact runtime/disk identities and SHA-256. They are distinct from an original in-game save. Keep exported files privately; browser storage is not a backup. MUSIC 7 music entries are retained. Five Rubicon cues come from its loader ProTracker MOD and two Maniacs-of-Noise programs with two subtunes each. Separate bonus entries preserve music bundled with the supplied crack introduction and trainer. MP3s use UADE native replay converted through FFmpeg. Repeating cues have finite recording caps, with whole-recording repeat; no sample-accurate loop interval is claimed. Native programs remain downloadable. ../music-manifest.json records source extents, hashes and render evidence. SOUND EFFECTS 199 isolated sound auditions represent both 88-entry source driver tables and all nine source banks. The original 68000 effect driver supplies pitch and envelope changes; frame-based Paula resampling approximates audio output. Analog filtering and gameplay mixing are not reconstructed. All 88 main descriptors appear in 171 source-bounded contexts. Alternate 512 KB contexts are rendered where distinct; identical program and sample contexts alias existing auditions. Level-bank gameplay reachability remains unverified; banks 3/4/5/6 share bytes. ../sounds-manifest.json retains IDs, source contexts and durations; media/sounds retains source banks and register traces. IMAGES 375 decoded PNG entries. Includes all four embedded ILBM occurrences (three unique pictures), all seven level tile atlases and both landscape layers for each level, all292 decoded level sprite blocks, shared/player strips, source fonts, title/ending scenes and all128 compiled star frames in a contact sheet. Four trailing bytes in SPRS7 block9 are retained outside the native512-byte bitmap. Runtime masking, frame divisions, animation timing and dynamic palette changes are not reconstructed; a source atlas is not a rendered gameplay scene. ../images-manifest.json records dimensions, source offsets, original palettes, decoder context and output hashes. Original packed graphics and unpacked sprite blocks remain downloadable under ../media/images/originals/ and in original-graphics-data.zip. REPRODUCTION Download image-extraction-source.zip and audio-tools.zip from this directory. They include extraction/render code, decoder dependencies/source notices and bounded source data as documented within each package. The graphics process uses the exact game 68000 decruncher in isolated RAM, then source-defined planar/HAM/EHB decoding, palettes and map data. The audio process carves native MOD/MON programs and executes original sound-driver routines. Consult each package README for the commands and pinned dependencies. runtime/ retains the self-hosted emulator source and preparation recipe. The full original ADFs remain the authoritative preservation input. VERIFICATION Original boot, the supplied trainer with all nine options set to NO, title-screen startup, the first disk-two request and DF0 swap, first-stage movement and firing, held keyboard input, Pause/Resume, fullscreen, sound controls, and portable state export/close/new-session import passed. A damaged-hash state was rejected. Music and sound playback, repeat, source search, image filtering, full-resolution viewing and dialog dismissal passed. The final Canvas2D player displays the saved native frame while paused and resumes correctly. The full campaign, later disk changes, physical controller input and mobile gameplay are not claimed verified. OWNERSHIP Original Rubicon game, artwork and music retain their respective creators’ ownership. Runtime and decoder licenses are provided with their sources. No generated artwork substitutes for original game assets.
